Operation Yashima

[Auto] [(2)] When this card attacks, and [Operation Yashima] is played, you may pay the cost. After that, you choose 1 of your opponent’s Level 2 or lower Characters on the Front Row, and 1 Level 2 or lower from their Back Row and send them back to their hand.

[Auto] When this card is played to the Climax Area from the Hand, you send the top 1 card of your Deck, send it to the Stock Area, and for this turn, all your Characters gain +1 Soul.

Now that’s more like it. Less vanilla cards and more new abilities!

Although (2) is quite a lot to pay just to return a Character back to their owner’s hand. You’ll be paying the extra (2) cost just to send a second Chara to their hand. Not to mention that you’re also restricted to 1 Front Row, and 1 Back Row as well as only characters that are Level 2 and below.

But looking at the Climax Card as well, its usage would guarantee that you would at least have 1 card in the Stock, enough for another Character to attack first and gain that remaining 1 card for the cost.

Considering that these ARE for Trial Decks after all, they’re pretty good for a TD card.

A card with an effect only used for fun… or is it? Kinda reminds me of the Yu-Jo Friendship card.

Yay ! Another Melty Blood card! …although it’s another vanilla again. o.o

0/0 3000, your bread and butter in WS. It’s traits are and , making it the second Character to have a trait in WS so far…

Well… the so-called Onion Helm that was included with the Collector’s Edition turns out to be really… onion-y. Unfortunately, only the Lalafel’s look normal with them on as they have oversized heads to begin with. www

But besides that, I’ve been too busy trying to enjoy this game rather than posting on the blog, so don’t expect any more screenshots in the future.

…and with that being said, let’s move onto today’s Card of the Day for WS:

[Passive] During your opponent’s turn, this card gains +1000 power.

“Milky Holmes” Cordellia

Nice and simple. 1/0 5000 that could be 6000 on the other players turn and with the traits, and . Guess we’ll be expecting more stuff? *shrugs* The only other notable character at the moment is only Naoto from P4 and that odd PR card, Kokuto Mikiya from Kara no Kyoukai. on the hand, has plenty of characters and support cards for it.

…and that’s it for today. I wonder what’s for tomorrow’s card? Assuming that they’re going by order, it would probably Evangelion. w

Along with the release for the Collector’s Edition of FFXIV, comes an update to this blog!
With my blogging of my adventures at Eorzea, also comes with my translations of the abilities for future WS Melty Blood cards as well as the Card of the Day’s from ws-tcg.com!

Unfortunately (and annoyingly), my copy of Final Fantasy XIV CE still hasn’t arrived, so this new post will only cover on today’s Card from the official Weiß Schwarz website (which is also Melty Blood!)

[Passive] When there are 2 cards in your Level Area,

this card gains +1000 Power.

[Auto] Encore [Discard 1 Character from your Hand to Waiting Room]

(When this card is sent to the Waiting Room from the Stage, you may pay the cost. After that, place this card where it was in Rest position.)

[Passive] All of your Characters gain +1000 Power, +1 Soul.

(: When this card is Triggered, send this card to your Hand.

Then you maysend the top 1 card from your Deck, to your Stock)

Atlas Associate Sion:

Nothing too special about it, as there’s already been 1/1 6000 Encore Characters before that don’t even require you being Level 2 and above. Save for this being able to perform Side Attacks unlike the cards I mentioned before, unless there will be cards in the future that require to be in your Level Area and affect your characters (like Mai-HiME/Otome or Sora wo Kakeru Shoujo), this card will struggle with 1/1 7000 Characters for the time being.

Barrel Replica

Another Gold-type Climax. Hope there will be card that specifically uses it in the Trial Deck, else it’ll be a hassle to remove from your Hand amongst your other Climax Cards, like the previous Gold Climax used in Trial Decks (Toaru Kagaku no Railgun TD).

…and that’s about it for the week. Well for WS, that is, (and also FFXIV, if they don’t hurry up with my order), as Bushiroad only posts Card of the Day’s on weekdays only.

16/01 WS Tournament

Random note: All prices mentioned are in Hong Kong dollars.

Today marks the end of this week’s WS tournament at American Sportswear Trading Co., with the winner receiving… well, two Persona 4 center markers…

Nevertheless, it was nice to see some new players join in on the fun today (though I would be considered fairly new as well… >.>). $30 was the entry fee, along with a booster pack of your choice of either Nanoha, Zero no Tsukaima, Fate/stay night, Shining Force EXA and Haruhi.

Although it might’ve been the same box from last week, I still ended up opening another Fate booster (despite already being lucky enough to draw a RRR King of Knights Saber (騎士王セイバー) from last time) in hopes of drawing another Shiro and Saber R card. Being unlucky as usual, the rare card was another Battle Stance Rider (臨戦態勢ライダー)… not to mention the dreaded Mabo Tofu event card within the same pack… ( – 3-)

As for my placing in this week’s tournament, well, it’s…

On the other hand…! The day ended a little better when I managed to snag a Protagonist & Messiah (主人公＆メサイア) card in exchange for one of my Chie cards from P4 Extra (which brings me 1 card closer to NOT buying another box of P3 Boosters).

Surprisingly, I also found a Dojima Ryoutaro (堂島遼太郎, P4 Extra, Common) amongst some random TD cards and bought it at $2.

Migrating to Nowhere Land

Lack of time = Fail (aka giving up on FFXI)

Not to mention that I’ve neglected this blog for almost a whole year (notice the time difference between this post and the previous). I just so happened to be looking back at the blog that I realised that I said returning back to Mabi once NA Nexon hits G8, which it had for quite so time now.

Hmm… perhaps I should go poke around in Erinn once again…

On an irrelevant note, uni’s got a new campaign going on with Shuzo T-Shirts!

Too bad:

1) I don’t live in Japan, so I can’t receive it

2) I didn’t buy any of the said products whilst my last trip to Japan (thus the lack of barcodes to even get the shirts)

3) I’m no longer in Japan

4) Doubt anyone would be selling it online

Although I’d love to get the 8th one (修造スイッチオン！) if I ever get the chance to get one that is…

Migrating from Erinn to Vana’diel!

Yes, as of now, I will be officially moving to FFXI. orz

Until Mabinogi NA gets updated to G8, I won’t consider about playing it again (not to mention the recent bugs and exploits found).

This might take sometime to get used, as some of you might know, FFXI is almost like the complete opposite to Mabi in terms of the combat system and all…

As you can see, I made a male Hume (Human) with hairstyle 1, hair colour 1 (lol defaults) and medium size, although the difference in sizes isn’t really noticable (to me that is,) under the name, Jiroeh (Originally Jirueh, but I had already taken that name with my 14-day trial >w<).

As much as I like San d’Oria’s city, I ended up chosing Bastok for the race bonus ring. OTL
Perhaps I might switch over later on… or not…(w>)

But I must say, that Bastok’s area is kinda dull and bland, which I guess, is to match the industrial and mining background of the republic.

Fighting is a lot slower in comparison to Mabinogi. But then again, any Final Fantasy game you compare Mabi to, would come out with it being slow…

An interesting to note is that, you actually close your eyes when resting in this game. Well, there’s probably other games that you also do, which I can’t remember from the back of my head… (>3<;)

In the short amount time I’ve played with my “real” account and character, there really isn’t much to say that I’ve done besides taking some screens and levelling up… ONCE (fail), not to mention, my first death happens to be from my second battle. orz

Shamshel + Eva 01 Progressive Knife scene anyone?
